What curriculum does the school follow?
We follow the English National Curriculum, the same framework used in top British schools worldwide. In practice, this means your child will develop strong literacy and numeracy foundations, learn through hands-on projects and enquiry, and build critical thinking skills from an early age.
Which age groups does the school cater to?
We’re primary specialists, focusing entirely on children aged 2 to 11 (Nursery through Year 6). This means everything here, from classroom design to teaching methods, is built specifically for young learners.
What languages are taught at the school?
English is our main language of instruction. Thai is taught three times weekly. From Year 3, children can add a third language: Mandarin or French.
Are French and Mandarin the only third-language options?
Yes, currently we offer French and Mandarin from Year 3. Both are taught by dedicated language teachers who make lessons engaging and build children’s confidence over time.
How many children are in each class, and what is the teacher-to-child ratio?
Nursery: maximum 15 children with 1 teacher, 1 teaching assistant, and 1 nanny. Kindergarten: up to 18 children with the same team of three. Reception to Year 6: maximum 20 children with 1 teacher and 1 teaching assistant.
Where do your teachers come from, and what are their qualifications?
Around 90 to 95% of our teachers are from the UK, all with appropriate qualifications and training. More importantly, they genuinely enjoy working with young children, and it shows in the classroom.
How do I enrol my child at St. Andrews Sathorn?
Complete our Application Form with these documents:
A recent photo of your child
Previous school reports (1 to 2 terms, if applicable)
Copies of your child’s passport and birth certificate
Copies of both parents’ passports

How long does the waitlist process take?
It depends on enrolment changes and seat availability in your child’s year group. We can’t give an exact timeline, but we’ll contact you the moment a place opens. Feel free to check in with us anytime for an update.
When will waitlisted families be invited for assessment?
We typically start contacting waitlisted families from October onwards. As soon as a seat becomes available, we’ll reach out to arrange your child’s assessment.
Are there many opportunities for Thai children to join?
Yes! Thai children make up around 30 to 36% of our community each year. Available places vary by year group, so we encourage families to apply early.
What are the school fees?
Our fees include textbooks, notebooks, and most extra-curricular activities. Here’s the breakdown:
Application Fee: THB 5,000 (non-refundable)
Enrolment Fee: THB 120,000 (Nursery to Year 6) | Family Rate: THB 180,000
Deposit: THB 10,000 (fully refundable)
Annual Tuition:
Nursery: THB 213,000 to 562,500 (flexible 3 to 5 days, half or full day)
Kindergarten: THB 640,000
Reception: THB 643,500
Year 1 to Year 2: THB 699,500
Year 3 to Year 6: THB 709,800

Are there any discounts available?
We don’t currently offer promotional discounts, but we do have a family enrolment rate for multiple children. Speak with our admissions team about your situation.
How diverse is your children community?
Our children represent 42 nationalities. Currently, 35% are Thai, and our top international nationalities include American, Australian, French, British, and Indian families.
What is Cognita, and how is the school connected to it?

Are there other St. Andrews campuses in Thailand?
Yes, four in total. St. Andrews Sathorn and St. Andrews Dusit are primary schools in central Bangkok. St. Andrews 107 (near BTS Bearing) offers primary and secondary. St. Andrews Green Valley is in Rayong.
Can my child transfer to St. Andrews S107 for secondary school?
Yes, and placement is guaranteed for Sathorn children. You also won’t need to pay a new enrolment fee at S107.
Where is the school located?
We’re in central Bangkok between Sathorn and Silom, easily accessible by BTS, MRT, or Grab. We also offer a door-to-door school bus service.
What are the school hours?
Year 1 to Year 6: 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nursery: 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The school office opens at 7:30 a.m. for early drop-offs.
Is parking available at the school?
Yes, though spaces are limited. Many families find our bus service or drop-off system more convenient.
How is traffic during pick-up and drop-off times?
Our staff are on hand each morning and afternoon to keep traffic flowing smoothly. Parents tell us it runs better than they expected.

What is the focus of the Early Years programme?
It’s very much play-based and child-centred. We focus on building confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Through play and exploration, children develop communication, creativity, collaboration, and early thinking skills in a way that feels natural and engaging.
How does St. Andrews Sathorn ensure a safe environment?
Creating a safe, secure environment is a big priority for us. All areas of the school are carefully set up and supervised, and staff are trained in safeguarding and child protection. We also have a dedicated safeguarding team in school, so children are well supported at all times.
What class sizes can I expect in Early Years?
Nursery has up to 15 children, and Kindergarten and Reception have up to 18. Each class has a qualified teacher and a teaching assistant, with our nannies supporting in Nursery and KG.
How are parents involved in their child's Early Years education?
Families receive regular updates on their child’s learning and progress through observations and photos shared on Seesaw. We also invite parents to workshops, open days, and school events throughout the year. In Early Years, we run stay-and-play sessions and other opportunities for parents to come in and join us.
Can my child start Nursery if they're not fully toilet-trained?
Yes. At two-and-a-half, it’s completely normal for children to still be learning. Our Nursery team will support your child through the process with patience. We just ask that you work with us to keep things consistent at home.
